Future Now is a broadcast and tech innovation event used to discuss developments within the industry and provide insight into future practices and technologies. It attracts a host of renowned speakers and requires a distinctive identity to encapsulate all aspects of the event.
A graphic approach was adopted for the event look and feel to provide a vibrant and energised ‘festival’ vibe. This ensured clear stand-out within the physical spaces of the conference while also feeling punchy across all comms materials, presentations and merchandise.
We created a logo that combined both a professional and a casual aspect to convey the tone of the event while still taking influence from previous iterations of Future > Now. Around this logo mark we created a suite of distinctive brand assets to bring the branding to life.
VIBRANT PALETTE
A strong colour palette ensured the event would have a vibrant ‘festival’ feel in the height of summer. This approach was key to positioning the event as something different to a traditional ‘tech’ conference.
GRAPHIC ELEMENTS
A suite of versatile and easy-to-apply graphic elements were created to reinforce the brand identity across all formats.
PERSONAL TYPEFACE
Using a handwritten font provided a personal and relaxed aesthetic to all the brand comms, removing any sense of a corporate or explicitly ‘tech’ vibe.
By creating a robust kit of parts for the event, it became easy to apply the graphic principles to elements within the event space, from basic logo usage and branded materials, to more bespoke features and installations.
We also created detailed brand guidelines to effectively communicate the design system and application. This allowed all 3rd party suppliers to successfully implement the look and feel of Future Now throughout the event space and across collateral materials.
